Letter Challenge, Day 17Paula,

Oh Paula, what can I say. You were the first friend that I remember being in my life. Remember how our mothers said that we were friends since birth, something about being in the same hospital room? It's strange how long it took us to realize that wouldn't be possible; we were born two months apart, after all, and I was never really sickly as a baby. It was always fun, though, because it honestly felt like we knew each other that long. For years, you were the best, and even only, person I could really call a friend. You were also the one to introduce me to pretty much every other friend in my childhood.

You had a tough life; looking

My Love, My PrisonerThere sat the stone where I'd carved his name,
In the shadows of the tall, willow tree;
I ran my fingers across my etched love,
The love that had left to be free.

We once sat here in the shade
Love singing from my soul, my heart.
He held my hand and stared at the sky;
I held him close, I played my part.

Oh how he hated our small little town
And being bound here, by me;
He smiled and held me close one day,
Said that one day I would see.

The next day my love had gone,
And he had left his body behind.

I was selfish in the end,
I couldn't let him go;
I carved my love in that little stone.
I trapped him here, hating me so.

I know that you must hate me for putting you through what I have. I know I hate myself for it. But I know that you'll be better off without me. It hurts like hell, but you deserve so much better than what I've offered you as of late.

It wasn't a matter of wanting to let go. It was a matter of having no choice, else you be smothered.

Letter Challenge, Day 14Amanda,

I know exactly why it is I haven't really put any effort into our friendship. I can guess at why you, too, have left it alone. I think the difference is that you may or may not still want to be friends. I find myself wondering if I do to you. Regardless, if left stagnant like it has been, it will eventually die.

I don't worry about you. You have plenty of friends who you are much closer to. There's too much space between us now, in both a physical and mental sense.

I first passed this group in the lobby of the hotel we were staying in. But I didn't have my camera out, and I'm a chicken shit, so I missed them. Thankfully I caught up with them in the artist alley.

(Also, thankfully there was somebody attentive enough to realize that I have trouble talking to people and got them to hold up for a second, else I'd have missed them again and my life would suck).

Thank you for letting me know, and for letting me take the picture in the first place. :3 ~~It's not a matter of being afraid of being bitten, so much as it is being terrified of looking like an idiot xD~~

(I used to go to MPSS; graduated a couple years ago. I've been trying to figure out why you guys look familiar, but I wasn't exactly the most social/aware of the other students while in school <_< It helps that I have the memory of a goldfish.
